Dreams

If you were given one year to fulfill a dream opportunity what would you do? The catch…you must give up your current life.

Think of an opportunity that could change your life and open many doors for you. There must be great risk involved in this decision and it has to be difficult to make.

What is the opportunity?

What would you do?

How would your life change?

What type of decision making process did you use to come to this conclusion?

What are the Pros and Cons for this decision?

For a perfect dream opprotunity for a year would be a tough one to say. I love my writings, my music, and my hometown. But by all else I would persue my music. I'd go a year on tour with my band partner going to one place to another. My life would change so much like I won't see my family for a long time, and I have to give up my education. You would think writing would be mine, but you get one shot in the music industry. I could always come back a year later. The big pro in this that I'll be doing what I love, and It will present me with my greatest challege yet.

If I could go away for a single year and live out a dream, I would go away to Nintendo of America in Seattle to learn how to make video games and get cool merchandise. The opportunity for me would be an intense experience. It also would give me background information about video game design.
However I would leave my old life behind and possibly to leave my friends. In my opinion the pros outweigh the cons, and I would be happy to go and live a new life. But I would definitely miss this class especially.

You truly ask a tough question there D’Avola. The real trick is trying to find such a dream. Even if I do, I don’t think I’d give up everything for it. The reason simply is that there is nothing I have enough faith in anything go pay all that I have. If it was half of my stuff then that would be another story. However, nothing in life is worth risking it all unless you were gonna lose it all anyway. Maybe it is cause I have bad luck. Maybe it is because I am cautious. Either way, I wouldn’t go for it.

If given an opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream, it would be to work at the Walt Disney Haunted Mansion in Florida. For years the haunted mansion has touched my life and has an official place in my heart. If at any given moment, a person came to me and offered me a job there, I would look them strait in the eye and say “Yes sir/madam, I will take that job!” I feel that I am ready to take on the task of being an official Haunted Mansion butler.

However, I am well aware of the losses that would come with this decision. I would have to move far away from my home. All my friends I knew would be gone, my parents wouldn’t be their by my side, and I would be alone. I would have to give up the wonderfully life that I already have. However, I would happily give those things away for a year. This dream is larger than any material possession in the world. And, I could fly my family out to visit me!

If I found out that I was going to work for Blizzard: the company that made Starcraft and Warcarft. I would want to be in charge of making the design for the units in the game. Like for warcarft I would make all of the armor weapons and bows. For starcraft I would make the units, buildings and race. Well my life would change by I would have to move to California and work with tons and tons of people. I would leave my parents and friends I might ask my girlfriend if she might come. The pros and cons about this job would be.
Pros: A lot of money, be working with a high corporation, live in los angeles, warm weather. Cons: I might lose contact with my parents, leave all my friends, a lot of work, hot stuffy room.

a great dream that for me would be to start a band and start making CD’s and having them sell at places like target, best buy (ect) worldwide and see what people thought about it then I would go on a world tour with some of my favorite bands like sum 41, blink 182, angels & airwaves, rancid, ect and I would have my band play with them...next I would buy a house and a car once I did that I would buy other stuff like guitars, cars (ect) but doing this would have to mean I give up a lot of things like friends, family, school and more. Knowing that would be hard but I think it would be worth it because it is the one thing I really love doing and that is what I would do if I could do the one thing I liked most.

I would like to take advantage of playing on a Major league Baseball team. I would get home runs, triples, doubles, singles, rbis, and walks. I would like to travel around the country but I wouldn't see my family. I would change friends and I wouldn't hang out or see them or do something with them. I would not go to school and I will miss a lot of work and I will finish all of it when I get back. I flipped a coin to make this decision. I might not ever come back again.
